Scott began his career in lighting more than two decades ago at the New York office of industry veteran, Wiedenbach-Brown. Driven by an inquisitive nature and a passion for understanding how things work, he immersed himself in learning everything about lighting technology.  Scott’s enthusiastic approach led senior management to offer him the opportunity to launch Wiedenbach-Brown’s West Coast division.  Within a few short years, he grew the West Coast office to a team of more than 30 people and helped the company generate annual revenues in excess of 100 million dollars.  He held multiple roles of increasing responsibility throughout his 14+ year tenure with the company, culminating with the role of Vice President, Business Development.

Always highly motivated, Scott began to visualize an entirely new business model which would create positive disruption in the lighting industry.  The model would be based on a more efficient method of distribution with far fewer layers, combined with a serious devotion to customer service.  He wanted to build a lighting company that, no matter how large it grew, would maintain a relationship-based approach to providing the very best in design, strategy and distribution.  With this new model in mind, Scott set out to forge a new path in 2007 with the launch of CS Illumination in San Diego, California.

To ensure he could deliver on his promise of providing best-in-class service and solutions, he created and nurtured an enthusiastic and inspired company culture.  He still takes great pride in the fact that CS Illumination is consistently named “one of the best places to work in San Diego” and, by design, attracts and retains the top talent in the lighting industry.  His business philosophy has always been based on investing in those around him as well as continuous learning.   He believes in educating clients, rather than simply selling to them and encourages and rewards employees for attending advanced training and continuing education.   In less than ten years, Scott’s customer-centric approach has enabled him to successfully grow the company from a small start-up to a recognized leader in the lighting industry.   CS Illumination provides a wealth of robust lighting solutions to some of the most visible companies and brands throughout North America, counting a number of industry leaders as loyal clients.

As the company president, chief idea generator and a self-described “lighting technology junkie”, Scott is still the driving force behind CS Illumination’s tremendous success today.   A well-respected subject matter expert in the lighting industry himself, Scott has collaborated with several notable lighting companies to design lamps and luminaires for distribution.  In his free time, Scott enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his daughter fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and skiing.
